영들이 위에 설명한 장소에서 교육받는 기간은 짧다. 그들은 한꺼번에 많은 것을 이해할 수 있는 영적 개념을 사용하기 때문이다. 준비가 완료되면 그들은 천사의 옷을 입게 된다. 그 옷은 매우 눈부신 흰색이며, 고운 모시와 같다. 그다음 그들은 위로 천국을 향해 나 있는 길에 당도하고, 거기서 지키고 있던 천사들에게 인도되며, 그 후 다른 천사들이 맞아들여 여러 공동체와 그곳의 많은 축복 속으로 인도한다. 그러고 나면 각 사람은 주님의 인도로 자기 자신의 공동체로 들어간다. 이때도 다양한 길이 있으며, 때로는 나선형으로 되어 있다. 그들이 인도되는 길은 어떤 천사도 알지 못하고, 주님만 아신다. 그들이 자신의 공동체에 도착하면 그들의 내면이 열린다. 그리고 그 내면이 그 공동체에 있는 천사들의 내면과 일치하기 때문에, 천사들은 그들을 즉각 알아보고 기쁨으로 맞아들인다. When spirits have been prepared for heaven by instruction in the places above described, which is effected in a short time on account of their being in spiritual ideas that comprehend many particulars together, they are clothed with angelic garments, which are mostly glowing white as if made of fine linen; and they are thus brought to the way that leads upwards toward heaven, and are delivered there to angel guards, and afterwards are received by other angels and introduced into societies and into many blessednesses there. After this each one is led by the Lord into his own society, which is also effected by various ways, sometimes by winding paths. The ways by which they are led are not known to any angel, but are known to the Lord alone. When they come to their own society their interiors are opened; and as these are in conformity with the interiors of the angels who are in that society they are immediately recognized and received with joy.
