사후 사람의 두 번째 상태

The Second State of Man after Death

이 둘째 상태에서 영은 그가 세상에서 어떤 사람이었는지 다른 이들이 볼 수 있게 된다. 그들이 세상에서 은밀히 말하고 행한 것이 그때는 밖으로 드러난다. 외적인 동기로 제약을 받지 않게 된 그들은 이제는 세상에서처럼 명예가 실추될까 봐 두려워하지 않으므로, 비밀리에 말하고 행하던 것을 공개적으로 말하고 행하려고 하기 때문이다. 또 그들은 자신의 많은 악의 상태를 다 드러내게 되어 천사와 선한 영들은 그들이 어떤 사람인지 분명히 알게 된다. 이렇게 해서 감춰진 것이 드러나고, 숨은 것이 알려지는 것이다. 이것도 주의 말씀과 일치한다. When in this second state spirits become visibly just what they had been in themselves while in the world, what they then did and said secretly being now made manifest; for they are now restrained by no outward considerations, and therefore what they have said and done secretly they now say and endeavor to do openly, having no longer any fear of loss of reputation, such as they had in the world. They are also brought into many states of their evils, that what they are may be evident to angels and good spirits. Thus are hidden things laid open and secret things uncovered, in accordance with the Lord’s words:

 

2감추인 것이 드러나지 않을 것이 없고 숨긴 것이 알려지지 않을 것이 없나니 3이러므로 너희가 어두운 데서 말한 모든 것이 광명한 데서 들리고 너희가 골방에서 귀에 대고 말한 것이 지붕 위에서 전파되리라 (눅12:2, 3) There is nothing covered up that shall not be revealed, and hid that shall not be known. Whatsoever ye have said in the darkness shall be heard in the light, and what ye have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers shall be proclaimed on the housetops (Luke 12:2, 3).

 

내가 너희에게 이르노니 사람이 무슨 무익한 말을 하든지 심판 날에 이에 대하여 심문을 받으리니 (마12:36) I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment (Matt. 12:36).
