모든 사람의 삶의 즐거움은 사후 그것이 상응하는 것으로 바뀐다

The Delights of Every One’s Life Are Changed after Death into Things That Correspond

전 장에서는 모든 사람의 주동적 애정, 즉 주된 사랑은 영원히 보존된다는 것을 밝혔다. 이제 그 애정, 즉 사랑의 즐거움들이 어떻게 그에 상응하는 것으로 바뀌는가를 설명하겠다. 상응하는 것으로 바뀐다는 말은 자연적인 것에 상응하는 영적인 것으로 바뀐다는 의미이다. 그것이 영적인 것으로 바뀐다는 것은 다음 사실로 분명히 알 수 있다. 사람이 육신을 입고 있는 동안은 자연계에 있으나 그가 육체를 떠나면 영계로 들어가고, 영적 몸이 입혀진다는 사실이다. 이미 밝혔듯이, 천사들은, 그리고 죽은 뒤의 사람은 완전한 사람 모습을 하고 있으며, 그들이 입고 있는 몸은 영적인 몸이다 (73–77항과 453–460항). 또 상응은 영적인 것과 자연적인 것 사이에 이루어진다 (87–115항). It has been shown in the preceding chapter that the ruling affection or dominant love in everyone continues to eternity. It shall now be explained how the delights of that affection or love are changed into things that correspond. Being changed into corresponding things means into things spiritual that correspond to the natural. That they are changed into things spiritual can be seen from this, that so long as man is in his earthly body he is in the natural world, but when he leaves that body he enters the spiritual world and is clothed with a spiritual body. It has already been shown that angels, and men after death, are in a complete human form, and that the bodies with which they are clothed are spiritual bodies (n. 73–77 and 453–460); also what the correspondence is of spiritual things with natural (n. 87–115).
