천국과 사람 간 말씀에 의한 결합

Conjunction of Heaven with Man By Means of the Word

말씀을 통해서 천국은 말씀을 모르는 교회 밖의 사람들과도 결합한다. 주의 교회는 전 인류적이며, 신성을 시인하고 이웃 사랑 안에 사는 모든 사람과 함께 있기 때문이다. 더욱이, 그런 사람들은 죽은 후에 천사들의 가르침을 받고, 신적 진리를 받아들인다.주212 이에 대해서는 나중에 비기독교인에 대한 장에서 설명하겠다. 지구상의 보편적 교회는, 천국이 그렇듯이 주님 눈에 단 한 사람으로 보인다 (59–72항). 그러나 말씀이 있고, 그 말씀에 의해 주님을 인정하는 교회는 마치 사람의 심장과 폐와 같다. 인체의 모든 기관과 사지는 심장과 폐로부터 다양한 경로를 통해 생명을 공급받는 것은 잘 알려진 사실이다. 말씀이 있는 교회 밖에 있는 사람들, 그 ‘가장 큰 사람’의 사지를 구성하는 사람들도 마찬가지다. 떨어져 있는 사람들과 천국과의 말씀에 의한 결합도 역시 빛이 그 중심에서 둘레로 퍼져나가는 것에 비유할 수 있다. 신적 빛은 말씀 안에 있고, 주님이 천국과 함께 거기 임하시기 때문에, 그 임하심으로 인해 멀리 있는 사람도 빛을 받는다. 만일 말씀이 없다면, 그렇지 못했을 것이다. 이것은 앞에서 천국 모든 사람이 천국의 형태에 따라 교류하고 교통한다는 것을 설명한 부분을 보면 더 확실하게 알 수 있을 것이다. 그러나 이는 영적 빛으로 보는 사람들만 이해할 수 있는 것이고, 자연적 빛만으로 보면 이해할 수 없다. 영적 빛으로 보는 사람들은 무수한 것을 명백하게 보지만, 자연적 빛으로만 보는 사람들은 아예 보지 못하거나 보아도 흐릿한 것을 보기 때문이다. There is also a conjunction of heaven by means of the Word with those who are outside of the church where there is no Word; for the Lord’s church is universal, and is with all who acknowledge the Divine and live in charity. Moreover, such are taught after death by the angels and receive Divine truths;212 on which subject more may be seen below, in the chapter on the heathen. The universal church on the earth in the sight of the Lord resembles a single man, just as heaven does (see n. 59–72); but the church where the Word is and where the Lord is known by means of it is like the heart and lungs in that man. It is known that all the viscera and members of the entire body draw their life from the heart and lungs through various derivations; and it is thus that those of the human race live who are outside of the church where the Word is, and who constitute the members of that man. Again, the conjunction of heaven with those who are at a distance by means of the Word may be compared to light radiating from a center all around. The Divine light is in the Word, and there the Lord with heaven is present, and from that presence those at a distance are in light; but it would be otherwise if there were no Word. This may be more clearly seen from what has been shown above respecting the form of heaven in accordance with which all who are in heaven have affiliation and communication. But while this arcanum may be comprehended by those who are in spiritual light, it cannot be comprehended by those who are only in natural light; for innumerable things are clearly seen by those who are in spiritual light that are not seen or are seen obscurely as a single thing by those who are only in natural light.

The church specifically is where the Word is and where the Lord is known by means of it, thus where Divine truths from heaven are revealed (n. 3857, 10761). 주님의 교회는 자신들의 종교 교리를 따라 선 안에 사는 전 지구적인 모든 사람과 함께 있다 (AC.3263, 6637, 10765). The Lord’s church is with all in the whole globe who live in good in accordance with the principles of their religion (n. 3263, 6637, 10765). 자기 종교의 교리를 따라 선 안에 사는 사람, 그리고 신성을 시인하는 사람은 어디에 살든 주님께 받아들여진다 (AC.2589–2604, 2861, 2863, 3263, 4190, 4197, 6700, 9256). All wherever they are who live in good in accordance with the principles of their religion and who acknowledge the Divine are accepted of the Lord (n. 2589–2604, 2861, 2863, 3263, 4190, 4197, 6700, 9256). 그리고 이들뿐 아니라 태어난 적이 있는 모든 어린이 또한 주님께 받아들여진다 (AC.2289–2309, 4792). And besides these all children wheresoever they are born (n. 2289–2309, 4792).
