천국과 사람 간 말씀에 의한 결합

Conjunction of Heaven with Man By Means of the Word

그러나 사람은 이 연결을 끊어버렸다. 자기 사랑과 세상 사랑 때문에, 사람의 외면이 천국으로부터 돌아서서 자기와 세상을 향하게 되었고, 그렇게 스스로 물러남으로써 더 이상 천국의 기초와 바탕 역할을 할 수 없게 되었기 때문이다. 따라서 주님은 천국의 이러한 기초와 바탕 역할을 대신할, 그리하여 천국과 사람을 결합시켜 줄 중간 매체를 마련하신 것이다. 이 매체가 바로 말씀이다. 말씀이 어떻게 그런 중간 매체 역할을 하는가에 대해서는 ‘천국의 비밀’ 여러 곳에 나와 있다. 또 계시록의 백마에 관한 소책자에도 집약되어 있다. 그리고 ‘새 예루살렘과 그 천국 교리’ 부록에도 나와 있다.주210 But man has severed this connection with heaven by turning his exteriors away from heaven, and turning them to the world and to self by means of his love of self and of the world, thereby so withdrawing himself that he no longer serves as a basis and foundation for heaven; therefore the Lord has provided a medium to serve in place of this base and foundation for heaven, and also for the conjunction of heaven with man. This medium is the Word. How the Word serves as such a medium has been shown in many places in Arcana Coelestia, all of which may be seen gathered up in the little work White Horse (mentioned in Revelation); also in the appendix to the New Jerusalem and Its Heavenly Doctrine, from which some notes are here appended.210

The Word in the sense of the letter is natural (n. 8783). 자연적인 것은 맨 끝단이다. 그 안에 영적이고 천적인 것들, 이들은 내적인 것들인데, 이들이 거기 종착하며, 또 거기서 쉬는 것이 마치 어느 기초 위에 있는 집이 그 위에서 쉬는 것과 같기 때문이다 (AC.9430, 9433, 9824, 10044, 10436). For the reason that the natural is the outmost in which spiritual and heavenly things, which are interior things, terminate and on which they rest, like a house upon its foundation (n. 9430, 9433, 9824, 10044, 10436). 말씀이 그런 것이 될 수 있도록 말씀은 처음부터 끝까지 상응으로 구성되어 있다 (AC.1404, 1408, 1409, 1540, 1619, 1659, 1709, 1783, 8615, 10687). That the Word may be such it is composed wholly of correspondences (n. 1404, 1408, 1409, 1540, 1619, 1659, 1709, 1783, 8615, 10687). 말씀이 글자의 뜻으로는 그렇기 때문에, 말씀은 영적, 천적 의미를 담는 컨테이너이다 (AC.9407). Because the Word is such in the sense of the letter it is the containant of the spiritual and heavenly sense (n. 9407). 그리고 그것은 사람들과 천사들에게 맞춰진다 (AC.1769–1772, 1887, 2143, 2157, 2275, 2333, 2395, 2540, 2541, 2547, 2553, 7381, 8862, 10322). And it is adapted both to men and to angels (n. 1769–1772, 1887, 2143, 2157, 2275, 2333, 2395, 2540, 2541, 2547, 2553, 7381, 8862, 10322). 그리고 그것이 천국과 땅을 하나 되게 하는 것이다 (AC.2310, 2495, 9212, 9216, 9357, 9396, 10375). And it is what makes heaven and earth one (n. 2310, 2495, 9212, 9216, 9357, 9396, 10375). 주님과 사람의 결합은 말씀, 곧 말씀의 속뜻을 통해서다 (AC.10375). The conjunction of the Lord with man is through the Word, by means of the internal sense (n. 10375). 말씀의 모든 것과 낱낱의 것 사이에는 결합이 있으며, 그 결과 말씀은 그 어떤 저술보다도 뛰어난 놀라운 것이다 (AC.10632–10634). There is conjunction by means of all things and each particular thing of the Word, and in consequence the Word is wonderful above all other writing (n. 10632–10634). 말씀이 기록되었으므로 주님은 말씀으로 사람들에게 말씀하신다 (AC.10290). Since the Word was written the Lord speaks with men by means of it (n. 10290). 말씀도 없고, 그래서 주님도 알 수 없었던, 교회 밖의 사람들과 관련해서, 그 안에 말씀이 있고, 주님도 그 말씀을 통해 알 수 있는 교회는, 사람 신체의 여러 지체와 비교했을 때, 마치 사람의 심장과 폐와 같다. 이 여러 지체들은 마치 이들 심장과 폐가 자신들의 생명의 기초인 것처럼 이들로 말미암아 산다 (AC.637, 931, 2054, 2853). The church, where the Word is and the Lord is known by means of it, in relation to those who are out of the church where there is no Word and the Lord is unknown, is like the heart and lungs in man in comparison with the other parts of the body, which live from them as from the fountains of their life (n. 637, 931, 2054, 2853). 주님 앞에서 지상의 교회 전체는 마치 한 사람의 인간과 같다 (AC.7396, 9276). Before the Lord the universal church on the earth is as a single man (n. 7396, 9276). 결론적으로 만일 지상에 말씀이 있는 하나의 교회가 없고, 그래서 그로 인해 주님을 알 수가 없게 되면, 여기 이 인류는 멸망하여 사라지고 말 것이다 (AC.468, 637, 931, 4545, 10452). Consequently unless there were on this earth a church where the Word is, and where the Lord is known by means of it, the human race here would perish (n. 468, 637, 931, 4545, 10452).
