천국 천사들의 순진한 상태

The State of Innocence of the Angels of Heaven

천사들에게 있는 순진함은 선함의 본질이므로, 주님으로부터 나오는 신적 선은 순진무구 자체라는 것이 명백하다. 왜냐하면 그 선이 천사들에게 흘러 들어가 그들의 가장 깊은 내면을 감화하고, 천국의 모든 선을 받을 수 있도록 그 내면을 조정하고 맞추기 때문이다. 아이들의 경우도 이와 같다. 그들의 내면은 주께로부터 유입되는 순진성에 의해서 다만 형성될 뿐 아니라, 또한 천국의 사랑에서 나온 선을 받기에 적합하도록 끊임없이 조정된다. 순진성의 선은 가장 깊은 내면에서부터 작용하기 때문이며, 앞에도 말했듯 그 선함이야말로 모든 선함의 본질이기 때문이다. 이 모든 것으로 보아 모든 순진함은 주께로부터 온다는 것을 알 수 있을 것이다. 이런 이유로 성경 말씀에 주님을 ‘어린양’이라 한 것이다. 어린양은 순진성을 의미한다.주196 순진성은 천국 모든 선의 가장 내적인 속성이어서 마음을 얼마나 내적으로 감동하는지, 그 순진성을 느끼는 사람은 더 이상 자기가 자신의 주인이 아닌 것 같고, 너무도 감명을 받아 이 세상 어느 기쁨과도 비교할 수 없는 기쁨에 넋을 잃을 정도가 된다. 가장 내적 천국의 천사가 가까이 올 때의 경우가 그렇다. 이것은 내가 느껴본 경험에서 말하는 것이다. Because innocence with the angels of heaven is the very being of good, it is evident that the Divine good that goes forth from the Lord is innocence itself, for it is that good that flows into angels, and affects their inmosts, and arranges and fits them for receiving all the good of heaven. It is the same with children, whose interiors are not only formed by means of innocence flowing through them from the Lord, but also are continually being fitted and arranged for receiving the good of heavenly love, since the good of innocence acts from the inmost; for that good, as has been said, is the being of all good. From all this it can be seen that all innocence is from the Lord. For this reason the Lord is called in the Word a “lamb,” a lamb signifying innocence.196 Because innocence is the inmost in all the good of heaven, it so affects minds that when it is felt by anyone—as when an angel of the inmost heaven approaches—he seems to himself to be no longer his own master and is moved and as it were carried away by such a delight that no delight of the world seems to be anything in comparison with it. This I say from having perceived it.
