천국 천사들의 순진한 상태

The State of Innocence of the Angels of Heaven

나는 순진성에 대해 천사들과 많은 얘기를 나누었다. 그리고 순진성이 모든 선함의 본질이라는 것과, 선은 그 안에 순진성이 있을 때만 선이라는 것을 알게 되었다. 따라서 지혜도 순진성이 있어야 지혜이며, 사랑, 이타심, 신앙도 마찬가지다.주194 그러므로 순진성이 없는 사람은 아무도 천국에 들어가지 못한다. 이것은 주님도 다음과 같이 말씀하신 것이다. I have talked much with angels about innocence, and have been told that innocence is the being [esse] of all good, and that good is therefore so far good as it has innocence in it, consequently that wisdom is so far wisdom as it partakes of innocence; and the same is true of love, charity, and faith;194 and therefore no one can enter heaven unless he possesses innocence; and this the Lord teaches when He says:

 

14예수께서 보시고 노하시어 이르시되 어린 아이들이 내게 오는 것을 용납하고 금하지 말라 하나님의 나라가 이런 자의 것이니라 15내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 누구든지 하나님의 나라를 어린아이와 같이 받들지 않는 자는 결단코 그곳에 들어가지 못하리라 하시고 (막10:14, 15) Suffer little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of the heavens. Verily I say unto you, Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of the heavens as a little child, he shall not enter into it (Mark 10:14, 15; Luke 18:16, 17).

 

16예수께서 그 어린아이들을 불러 가까이 하시고 이르시되 어린아이들이 내게 오는 것을 용납하고 금하지 말라 하나님의 나라가 이런 자의 것이니라 17내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 누구든지 하나님의 나라를 어린아이와 같이 받아들이지 않는 자는 결단코 거기 들어가지 못하리라 하시니라 (눅18:16, 17)

 

여기서와 다른 구절에서 ‘어린아이들’은 순진한 사람들을 말한다. 마6:25-34에도 순진한 상태가 그려져 있으나 거기에는 상응으로만 나와 있다. Here as elsewhere in the Word “little children” mean those who are innocent. A state of innocence is also described by the Lord in Matthew 6:25–34, but by correspondences only.

 

25너를 고발하는 자와 함께 길에 있을 때에 급히 사화하라 그 고발하는 자가 너를 재판관에게 내어 주고 재판관이 옥리에게 내어 주어 옥에 가둘까 염려하라 26진실로 네게 이르노니 네가 한 푼이라도 남김이 없이 다 갚기 전에는 결코 거기서 나오지 못하리라 27또 간음하지 말라 하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나 28나는 너희에게 이르노니 음욕을 품고 여자를 보는 자마다 마음에 이미 간음하였느니라 29만일 네 오른 눈이 너로 실족하게 하거든 빼어 내버리라 네 백체 중 하나가 없어지고 온몸이 지옥에 던져지지 않는 것이 유익하며 30또한 만일 네 오른손이 너로 실족하게 하거든 찍어 내버리라 네 백체 중 하나가 없어지고 온몸이 지옥에 던져지지 않는 것이 유익하니라 31또 일렀으되 누구든지 아내를 버리려거든 이혼 증서를 줄 것이라 하였으나 32나는 너희에게 이르노니 누구든지 음행한 이유 없이 아내를 버리면 이는 그로 간음하게 함이요 또 누구든지 버림받은 여자에게 장가드는 자도 간음함이니라 33또 옛사람에게 말한바 헛맹세를 하지 말고 네 맹세한 것을 주께 지키라 하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나 34나는 너희에게 이르노니 도무지 맹세하지 말지니 하늘로도 하지 말라 이는 하나님의 보좌임이요 (마6:25-34)

선은 그 안에 순진함이 있어야 선이다. 모든 선은 주께로부터 오며, 순진함이란 주의 인도하심을 받기 원하는 마음이기 때문이다. 천사들은 말하기를, 오직 순진성에 의해서만 진리는 선에, 선은 진리에 결합될 수 있으므로, 천사는 순진성이 있어야 천사라는 것이었다. 왜냐하면 그의 선과 진리가 천국적 결혼으로 결합되지 않은 사람 안에는 천국이 있을 수 없기 때문이다. 그래서 선과 진리의 결합을 천국적 결혼이라고 부르는 것이며, 천국적 결혼이 바로 천국인 것이다. 또 천사에게 들은 것은, 참된 결혼애는 순진성에서 생겨난다는 사실이다. 그 까닭은 참된 결혼애는 남편과 아내의 마음이 선과 진리의 결합 안에 있을 때 생기는 것이기 때문이며, 그 결합이 낮은 단계로 내려와 결혼애로 표현되는 것이라고 했다. 부부는 각자의 마음이 사랑 안에 있는 만큼 서로 사랑하기 때문이다. 그런 이유로 결혼애에는 애들 같은 천진난만한 장난스러움이 있다고 했다.주195 Good is good so far as it has innocence in it, for the reason that all good is from the Lord, and innocence is a willingness to be led by the Lord. I have also been told that truth can be conjoined to good and good to truth only by means of innocence, and therefore an angel is not an angel of heaven unless he has innocence in him; for heaven is not in anyone until good is conjoined to truth in him; and this is why the conjunction of truth and good is called the heavenly marriage, and the heavenly marriage is heaven. Again, I have been told that true marriage love derives its existence from innocence, because it derives its existence from the conjunction of good and truth, and the two minds of husband and wife are in that conjunction, and when that conjunction descends it presents the appearance of marriage love; for consorts are in mutual love, as their minds are. This is why in marriage love there is a playfulness like that of childhood and like that of innocence.195

주195. 결혼애는 이노센스다 (AC.2736). True marriage love is innocence (n. 2736). 결혼애는 상대방이 원하는 걸 자기도 원하는 걸로 되어 있어 서로 상호적이다 (AC.2731). Marriage love consists in willing what the other wills, thus mutually and reciprocally (n. 2731). 결혼애 가운데 있는 두 사람은 함께 삶의 가장 내적인 상태 가운데서 지내고 있는 것이다 (AC.2732). They who are in marriage love dwell together in the inmosts of life (n. 2732). 두 마음의 하나 됨이라는 게 있다. 그렇게 그들은 사랑으로 하나, 한몸이다 (AC.10168, 10169). There is a union of the two minds, and thus from love they are a one (n. 10168, 10169). 참된 결혼애는 그 기원과 본질이 선과 진리의 결혼에 있다 (AC.2728, 2729). True marriage love derives its origin and essence from the marriage of good and truth (n. 2728, 2729). 선과 진리의 결합에 관한 아이디어를 가지고 결혼에 관한 뭔가가 존재하는지를 지각하는 영적 천사들에 관하여 (AC.10756) About angelic spirits who have a perception from the idea of the conjunction of good and truth whether anything of marriage exists (n. 10756). 결혼애는 선과 진리의 결합과 완전히 똑같다 (AC.1904, 2173, 2508, 2729, 3103, 3132, 3155, 3179, 3180, 4358, 5807, 5835, 9206, 9207, 9495, 9637). Marriage love is wholly like the conjunction of good and truth (n. 1904, 2173, 2508, 2729, 3103, 3132, 3155, 3179, 3180, 4358, 5807, 5835, 9206, 9207, 9495, 9637). 그래서 말씀에서 ‘결혼’이라 하면 선과 진리의 결혼을 의미한다. 이런 결혼이 천국에는 있고, 앞으로 교회에도 있게 될 것이다 (AC.3132, 4434, 4835). Therefore in the Word “marriage” means the marriage of good and truth, such as there is in heaven and such as there will be in the church (n. 3132, 4434, 4835).
