천사들을 완벽하게 하고, 그들의 삶을 이루는 것은 지혜이므로, 그리고 천국과 그곳의 선은 각 사람의 지혜에 따라 그에게 유입되므로, 천국의 모든 사람은 마치 굶주린 사람이 음식을 찾듯 지혜를 원하고 찾는다. 사실 음식이 자연적 영양분이듯 지식과 지성, 지혜는 영적 영양분이고, 둘은 서로 상응하는 것이다. As it is wisdom that makes the angels perfect and constitutes their life, and as heaven with its goods flows into everyone in accordance with his wisdom, so all in heaven desire and hunger for wisdom, much as a hungry man hungers for food. So, too, knowledge, intelligence, and wisdom are spiritual nutriment, as food is natural nutriment; and the one corresponds to the other.
