※  해로 계신 주님으로부터 나오는 사랑이 천국에서는 열로 느껴진다. 천사들의 내면이 주님의 신적 선을 받아 사랑의 상태에 있고, 그 결과 그들의 외면도 내면으로 인해 따뜻해지기 때문이다. 이런 이유로 천국에서는 사랑과 열은 서로 완벽하게 상응하여 그곳 모든 이들은 각자의 사랑의 정도만큼 따뜻하다.

해로 계신 주님으로부터 나오는 사랑이 천국에서는 열로 느껴진다. 천사들의 내면이 주님의 신적 선을 받아 사랑의 상태에 있고, 그 결과 그들의 외면도 내면으로 인해 따뜻해지기 때문이다. 이런 이유로 천국에서는 사랑과 열은 서로 완벽하게 상응하여 그곳 모든 이들은 각자의 사랑의 정도만큼 따뜻하다. 이것은 바로 전 항에 설명한 바와 같다. 이 세상 열은 천국으로는 전혀 들어가지 못한다. 너무 거칠고 완전히 자연적일 뿐, 영적이지 않기 때문이다. 그러나 사람에게 있어서는 이와 다르다. 사람은 영계와 자연계 양계에 동시에 존재하기 때문이다. 사람의 영은 그의 사랑의 정도 대로 따뜻해지지만, 몸은 세상 열과 그 안 영의 열 둘 다로 인해 따뜻해진다. 영의 열과 육의 열이 서로 상응하므로 전자가 후자로 유입되는 것이다. 동물의 생활을 보면, 이 두 다른 열이 어떻게 상응하는지 알 수 있다. 주로 종족 번식을 위한 것인 동물의 사랑은 이 세상 해에서 나오는 열, 즉 봄, 여름 열의 존재와 영향에 따라 불붙고 활성화된다. 그러나 만일 이런 사랑이 일어나는 것이 이 세상 열의 유입 때문이라고 믿는다면 큰 오해다. 흐름은 오직 영계에서 자연계로 유입될 뿐, 자연계에서 영계로 유입되는 흐름은 있을 수 없기 때문이다. 그것이 신적 질서(Divine order)에 맞는 것이다. 만일 역류가 일어난다면, 그것은 신적 질서에 어긋나는 것이다.주105 Love going forth from the Lord as a sun is felt in heaven as heat, because the interiors of the angels are in a state of love from the Divine good that is from the Lord; and in consequence their exteriors which grow warm therefrom are in a state of heat. For this reason heat and love so correspond to each other in heaven that everyone there is in heat such as his love is, according to what has been said just above. This world’s heat does not enter heaven at all, because it is too gross, and is natural, and not spiritual; but with men it is otherwise, because they are in both the spiritual world and the natural world. As to their spirits they grow warm in exact accordance with their loves; but as to the body they grow warm both from the heat of their spirit and from the heat of the world. The former flows into the latter, because they correspond. The nature of the correspondence of the two kinds of heat can be seen from animal life, in that the love of animals—the chief of which is the love of propagating offspring of their kind—bursts forth and becomes active in accordance with the presence and influence of heat from the sun of the world, which is the heat of the spring and the summer seasons. Those who believe that the world’s heat flows in and excites these loves are greatly mistaken, for there can be no influx from the natural into the spiritual, but only from the spiritual into the natural. This influx is of Divine order, but the other would be contrary to Divine order.105

 

 

주105. 영적인, 물리적이지 않은 인플럭스가 있다. 즉 영계에서 자연계로 흐르는, 그 반대인 자연계에서 영계로 흐르는 게 아닌 인플럭스가 있다. There is spiritual influx, but not physical, that is, there is influx from the spiritual world into the natural, but not from the natural world into the spiritual (n. 3219, 5119, 5259, 5427, 5428, 5477, 6322, 9109, 9110, 9111).
