사후 사람은 생전 살았던 삶과 같다

그러나 지금까지 내가 말한 것은 사람의 합리적 사고에 호소하는 내용이다. 이제 감각적 지각에 호소하기 위해서 경험들을 바탕으로 다음 사항들을 설명하고 확증하겠다. 첫째, 죽은 뒤에 사람은 자기의 사랑, 즉 의지다. 둘째, 사람은 죽은 뒤에 영원히 자기의 의지, 즉 주된 사랑으로 남는다. 셋째, 천국적이고 영적인 사랑이 있는 사람은 천국에 들어간다. 그러나 천국적이고 영적인 사랑 없이 육신적, 세상적 사랑만 있는 사람은 지옥에 간다. 넷째, 신앙은 천국적 사랑에서 온 것이 아니면, 사람 안에 보존되지 않는다. 다섯째, 행동에 옮겨진 사랑, 즉 사람의 생활은 보존된다. Fourth, unless faith is from heavenly love it does not endure in man. Fifth, love in act, that is, the life of man, is what endures.
