사후 사람은 생전 살았던 삶과 같다

Man After Death Is Such as His Life Had Been in the World

행위와 일은 의도와 생각에서 나오므로, 또한 사랑과 신앙에서 나오는 것이기도 하다. 따라서 사랑과 신앙에 따라 그 성질이 결정된다. 사람의 사랑은 의도와 같은 말이고, 신앙은 확립된 생각과 같은 말이기 때문이다. 사람이 무엇을 사랑하면 그것을 의도하며, 무엇을 믿으면 그것을 생각하는 것이다. 그리고 사람이 믿는 바를 사랑하면 그것을 의도하고, 또 할 수 있는 한 그것을 행한다. 누구나 알 수 있는 것은 사랑과 신앙이 사람의 의지와 사고 바깥에 있는 것이 아니라 안에 있다는 것이다. 의지는 사랑으로 불붙고, 사고는 신앙적 사실들로 밝아지기 때문이다. 그러므로 오직 지혜롭게 생각할 수 있는 사람들만 깨달음의 빛을 얻는다. 그리고 깨달음의 빛을 받은 정도만큼 진리를 생각하고 의도하며, 같은 말이 되겠지만 진리를 믿고 사랑한다.주267 As deeds and works are from the will and thought, so are they from the love and faith, consequently they are such as the love and faith are; for it is the same thing whether you say one’s love or his will, and it is the same thing whether you say one’s faith or his established thought; for that which a man loves he wills, and that which a man believes he thinks; and when a man loves what he believes he also wills it and as far as possible does it. Everyone may know that love and faith are within man’s will and thought, and not outside of them, for love is what kindles the will, and the thought is what it enlightens in matters of faith; therefore only those that are able to think wisely are enlightened, and in the measure of their enlightenment they think what is true and will it, or what is the same, they believe what is true and love it.267

 

 

주267. 피조 세계의 질서를 따라 존재하는 모든 것이 선과 진리에 관련되듯, 사람 안의 모든 것 또한 의지와 이해에 관련된다 (AC.803, 10122). As all things that exist according to order in the universe have relation to good and truth, so in man all things have relation to will and understanding (n. 803, 10122). 의지가 선을 담는 그릇이요, 이해가 진리를 담는 그릇인 이유에 대하여 (AC.3332, 3623, 5232, 6065, 6125, 7503, 9300, 9995) For the reason that the will is a recipient of good and the understanding a recipient of truth (n. 3332, 3623, 5232, 6065, 6125, 7503, 9300, 9995). 진리를 말하든 신앙을 말하든 그것은 같은 말이다. 신앙은 진리에 속하고, 진리는 신앙에 속하기 때문이다. 선을 말하는 거나 사랑을 말하는 것도 같다. 사랑은 선에 속하고, 선은 사랑에 속하기 때문이다 (AC.4353, 4997, 7179, 10122, 10367). It amounts to the same whether you say truth or faith, for faith belongs to truth and truth belongs to faith; and it amounts to the same whether you say good or love, for love belongs to good and good belongs to love (n. 4353, 4997, 7179, 10122, 10367). 이런 이유로 이해는 신앙의 그릇이요, 의지는 사랑의 그릇이라는 결론이 나온다 (AC.7179, 10122, 10367). From this it follows that the understanding is a recipient of faith, and the will a recipient of love (n. 7179, 10122, 10367). 그리고 사람의 이해는 하나님 신앙을 받을 수 있고, 사람의 의지는 하나님 사랑을 받을 수 있기 때문에, 사람은 신앙과 사랑으로 하나님께 결합될 수 있다. 이처럼 사람은 사랑과 신앙으로 하나님께 결합될 수 있기에 결코 죽을 수 없다 (AC.4525, 6323, 9231). And since the understanding of man is capable of receiving faith in God and the will is capable of receiving love to God, man is capable of being conjoined with God in faith and love, and he that is capable of being conjoined with God in love and faith can never die (n. 4525, 6323, 9231).
