자기 내면에 관하여 모든 사람은 영이다

사람이 그 내면에 있어서는 한 영이라는 것은 사람이 죽은 뒤, 즉 몸을 떠난 뒤에도 전과 하나도 다른 것 없이 여전히 사람으로 산다는 사실로도 알 수 있을 것이다. 내가 이것을 확신할 수 있도록 허락하심에 따라 나는 그들의 육신 생활 중에 알고 지냈던 거의 모든 영과 대화를 나눌 수 있었다. 사람에 따라 각각 몇 시간, 몇 주일, 몇 달, 몇 해 동안 대화가 이어졌다. 주로 내가 이에 대해 확신을 가지고 증언할 수 있게 하기 위함이었다. That in respect to his interiors man is a spirit can be seen from the fact that after his separation from the body, which takes place when he dies, man goes on living as a man just as before. That I might be convinced of this I have been permitted to talk with nearly everyone I had ever known in their life in the body; with some for hours, with some for weeks and months, and with some for years, and this chiefly that I might be sure of it and might testify to it.
