천국의 결혼

그러므로 결혼애의 근원에 대한 이상의 내용으로 우리는 누가 그 사랑 안에 있고, 누가 있지 않은가 결론지을 수 있다. 신적 진리로 말미암아 신적 선 안에 있는 사람들은 결혼애 안에 있다. 그리고 선에 결합된 진리가 참된 진리일수록 그만큼 결혼애도 참되다. 더 나아가서는 진리와 결합된 모든 선은 주께로부터 오기 때문에, 주님과 당신의 신성을 확실히 인식하지 않으면 아무도 진정한 결혼애를 지닐 수 없다. 그 확실한 인식이 없으면, 주께서 사람 안의 진리에 유입하실 수도, 그 진리와 결합하실 수도 없기 때문이다. From what has now been said about the origin of marriage love one may conclude who are in that love and who are not; namely, that those are in marriage love who are in Divine good from Divine truths; and that marriage love is genuine just to the extent that the truths are genuine with which the good is conjoined. And as all the good that is conjoined with truths is from the Lord, it follows that no one can be in true marriage love unless he acknowledges the Lord and his Divine; for without that acknowledgment the Lord cannot flow in and be conjoined with the truths that are in man.
