천국의 결혼

이상의 내용으로 이제 참된 결혼애의 근원을 분명히 알 수 있다. 그것은 결혼한 사람들의 마음 안에서 먼저 형성되고, 거기서 낮은 차원으로 내려오고, 몸 안으로 들어가 사랑으로 지각되고 느껴진다. 사실 몸에서 느껴지고 지각되는 모든 것은 사고력과 의지에서 나오기 때문에, 그에 대응되는 영적인 것에 근원을 두고 있는 것이다. 사고력과 의지가 사람의 영적인 차원을 구성하기 때문이다. 사람의 영적 차원에서 몸으로 내려오는 모든 것은 거기서 다른 양상으로 나타나지만, 그래도 영혼과 몸처럼, 원인과 결과처럼 서로 비슷하고 조화된다. 이것은 상응에 관한 두 가름에서 설명한 바 있다. From all this the origin of true marriage love is made clear, namely, that it is formed first in the minds of those who are in marriage, and descends therefrom and is derived into the body, where it is perceived and felt as love; for whatever is felt and perceived in the body has its origin in the spiritual, because it is from the understanding and the will. The understanding and the will constitute the spiritual man. Whatever descends from the spiritual man into the body presents itself there under another aspect, although it is similar and accordant, like soul and body, and like cause and effect; as can be seen from what has been said and shown in the two chapters on correspondences.
