천국의 결혼

천국에서의 결혼은 두 마음이 하나로 결합하는 것이다. 먼저 이 결합이 어떤 것인지 설명해야 할 것이다. 마음은 두 부분으로 이루어져 있다. 하나는 사고력이고, 하나는 의지이다. 이 두 부분이 하나로 움직일 때, 한마음이라고 한다. 천국에서는 남편이 사고력이라고 불리는 부분의 역할을 하고, 아내는 의지라 불리는 부분의 역할을 한다. 사람의 내면의 차원에서 이루어지는 이 결합이 몸에 속하는 더 낮은 차원으로 내려오면 사랑으로 느껴지고 지각되며, 이 사랑이 결혼애다. 이것은 결혼애가 두 마음이 하나 되는 결합에 그 근원을 두고 있다는 것을 보여 준다. 천국에서는 이것을 함께 산다고 하고, 둘을 둘이 아니라 한 사람으로 불린다. 그러므로 천국에서는 결혼한 한 쌍을 둘이 아니라 한 천사라고 한다.주241 Marriage in heaven is a conjunction of two into one mind. It must first be explained what this conjunction is. The mind consists of two parts, one called the understanding and the other the will. When these two parts act as one they are called one mind. In heaven the husband acts the part called the understanding and the wife acts the part called the will. When this conjunction, which belongs to man’s interiors, descends into the lower parts pertaining to the body, it is perceived and felt as love, and this love is marriage love. This shows that marriage love has its origin in the conjunction of two into one mind. This in heaven is called cohabitation; and the two are not called two but one. So in heaven a married pair is spoken of, not as two, but as one angel.241

 

 

주241. 오늘날 결혼애(結婚愛)가 뭔지, 그것이 어디서 오는지는 알려져 있지 않다(AC.2727). It is not known at this day what marriage love is, or whence it is (n. 2727). 결혼애는 상대방이 원하는 걸 나도 원하는 것이요, 그렇게 서로 상대가 원하는 걸 원하는 것이다(AC.2731). Marriage love is willing what another wills, thus willing mutually and reciprocally (n. 2731). 결혼애 가운데 있는 부부는 삶의 가장 내적 상태 가운데 함께 거하는 것이다(AC.2732). Those that are in marriage love dwell together in the inmosts of life (n. 2732). 사랑으로 그들이 하나가 되는 것은 두 마음의 하나 됨 같은, 그런 것이다 (AC.10168, 10169). It is such a union of two minds that from love they are one (n. 10168, 10169). 마음들 간의 사랑은, 그게 영적 사랑인데, 일종의 연합, 하나 됨이기 때문이다 (AC.1594, 2057, 3939, 4018, 5807, 6195, 7081–7086, 7501, 10130). For the love of minds, which is spiritual love, is a union (n. 1594, 2057, 3939, 4018, 5807, 6195, 7081–7086, 7501, 10130).
