천국과 지옥은 인류로 말미암는다

사람이 죽은 후에는 그의 이 세상 삶에 따라 천국 아니면 지옥으로 간다는 것을 확실히 알릴 수 있도록 나에게 사람의 사후 생활에 대해 수많은 것이 밝혀진 것이다. 이에 대해서는 제2부 ‘중간 영계’에서 차례대로 다룰 것이다. That it might be made clear that man lives after death and enters in accordance with his life in the world either into heaven or into hell, many things have been disclosed to me about the state of man after death, which will be presented in due order in the following pages, where the world of spirits is treated of.
