천국에도 지상에서와 같이 모든 것이 계속되고 진행되지만, 천사들은 시간과 공간에 대한 개념이 전혀 없다. 시간과 공간이라는 것이 무엇인지(what time and space are)조차 모를 정도로 완전히 시공(時空) 개념이 없다. 여기서는 천국에서의 시간에 대해 다루고, 공간에 대해선 따로 장을 할애하겠다. Although there is a succession and a progression of all things in heaven, as in the world, yet angels have no notion or idea of time and space; and this so completely that they do not even know at all what time and space are. Time in heaven will here be considered, and space in its own chapter.
