※  천국에서 주님은 신적 진리이시고, 신적 진리는 그곳 빛이기 때문에, 말씀에서 주님과 주님으로부터 오는 모든 진리를 ‘빛’이라 하였다.

천국의 빛과 열

Light and Heat in Heaven

천국에서 주님은 신적 진리이시고, 신적 진리는 그곳 빛이기 때문에, 말씀에서 주님과 주님으로부터 오는 모든 진리를 ‘빛’이라 하였다. 다음 구절들이 그 예이다. As the Lord in the heavens is Divine truth, and the Divine truth there is light, so in the Word he is called Light, likewise all truth is from him, as in the following passages:

 

예수께서 또 말씀하여 이르시되 나는 세상의 빛이니 나를 따르는 자는 어둠에 다니지 아니하고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라 (요8:12) Jesus said, I am the light of the world; he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12).

 

내가 세상에 있는 동안에는 세상의 빛이로라 (요9:5) As long as I am in the world I am the light of the world (John 9:5).

 

35예수께서 이르시되 아직 잠시 동안 빛이 너희 중에 있으니 빛이 있을 동안에 다녀 어둠에 붙잡히지 않게 하라 어둠에 다니는 자는 그 가는 곳을 알지 못하느니라 36너희에게 아직 빛이 있을 동안에 빛을 믿으라 그리하면 빛의 아들이 되리라 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 그들을 떠나가서 숨으시니라, 46나는 빛으로 세상에 왔나니 무릇 나를 믿는 자로 어둠에 거하지 않게 하려 함이로라 (요12:35, 36, 46) Jesus said, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness overtake you. While ye have the light believe in the light, that ye may be sons of light. I have come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth in Me may not abide in darkness (John 12:35, 36, 46).

 

그 정죄는 이것이니 곧 빛이 세상에 왔으되 사람들이 자기 행위가 악하므로 빛보다 어둠을 더 사랑한 것이니라 (요3:19) Light has come into the world, but men have loved the darkness rather than the light (John 3:19).

 

또 요한은 주님을 가리켜 이렇게 말했다. John says of the Lord:

 

참 빛 곧 세상에 와서 각 사람에게 비추는 빛이 있었나니 (요1:9) This is the true light which lighteneth every man (John 1:9).

 

흑암에 앉은 백성이 큰 빛을 보았고 사망의 땅과 그늘에 앉은 자들에게 빛이 비치었도다 하였느니라 (마4:16) The people that sit in darkness have seen a great light, and to them that were sitting in the shadow of death light is sprung up (Matt. 4:16).

 

나 여호와가 의로 너를 불렀은즉 내가 네 손을 잡아 너를 보호하며 너를 세워 백성의 언약과 이방의 빛이 되게 하리니 (사42:6) I will give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles (Isa. 42:6).

 

그가 이르시되 네가 나의 종이 되어 야곱의 지파들을 일으키며 이스라엘 중에 보전된 자를 돌아오게 할 것은 매우 쉬운 일이라 내가 또 너를 이방의 빛으로 삼아 나의 구원을 베풀어서 땅끝까지 이르게 하리라 (사49:6) I have established Thee for a light of the Gentiles that Thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth (Isa. 49:6).

 

만국이 그 빛 가운데로 다니고 땅의 왕들이 자기 영광을 가지고 그리로 들어가리라 (계21:24) The nations of them that are saved shall walk in his light (Rev. 21:24).

 

주의 빛과 주의 진리를 보내시어 나를 인도하시고 주의 거룩한 산과 주께서 계시는 곳에 이르게 하소서 (시43:3) Send out Thy light and Thy truth; let them lead me (Ps. 43:3).

 

이 구절들과 그 밖의 다른 곳에서 주님을 빛이라고 한 것은 그분께로부터 나오는 신적 진리 때문이다. 또 진리 자체도 빛이라고 한다. 천국의 빛이 해로 계신 주님께로부터 오기 때문에, 베드로, 야고보, 요한 앞에서 변화하셨을 때에는 이렇게 말했다. In these and other passages the Lord is called light from Divine truth, which is from him; and the truth itself is likewise called light. As light in the heavens is from the Lord as a sun, so when he was transfigured before Peter, James, and John:

 

그들 앞에서 변형되사 그 얼굴이 해 같이 빛나며 옷이 빛과 같이 희어졌더라 (마17:2) His face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light (Matt. 17:2).

 

그 옷이 광채가 나며 세상에서 빨래하는 자가 그렇게 희게 할 수 없을 만큼 매우 희어졌더라 (막9:3) And his garments became shining, exceeding white as snow, so as no fuller on earth can whiten them (Mark 9:3; Matt. 17:2).

 

주님의 옷이 이렇게 보이는 것은, 옷이 천국의 신적 진리를 나타내기 때문이다. 말씀 안의 ‘옷’도 진리를 의미한다.주99 따라서 다윗은 이렇게 노래한 것이다. The Lord’s garments had this appearance because they represented Divine truth which is from him in the heavens, “garments” also in the Word signifying truths,99 consequently it is said in David:

 

주께서 옷을 입음같이 빛을 입으시며 하늘을 휘장같이 치시며 (시104:2) O Jehovah, Thou coverest Thyself with light as with a garment (Ps. 104:2).

 

 

주99. 말씀에서 ‘옷’은 진리를 의미한다. 진리는 선이 입는 옷이기 때문이다. In the Word “garments” signify truths, because truths clothe good (n. 1073, 2576, 5248, 5319, 5954, 9216, 9952, 10536). 주님이 변형되셨을 때, 주님의 옷은 주님의 신적 사랑에서 나오는 신적 진리를 의미했다. The Lord’s garments when He was transfigured signified Divine truth going forth from His Divine love (n. 9212, 9216).
