천국은 두 나라로 구분되어 있다

Heaven Is Divided into Two Kingdoms

천국에는 무한한 다양성이 있다. 완전히 동일한 사회는 하나도 없고, 심지어 단 한 천사도 다른 이와 똑같지 않다.주27 As there are infinite varieties in heaven, and no one society nor any one angel is exactly like any other,27

주27. 무한한 다양성이 있으며, 어디에도 서로 똑같은 것은 존재하지 않는다. There is infinite variety, and nowhere anything the same as another (n. 7236, 9002). 또한 천국들에는 무한한 다양성이 존재한다. Also in the heavens there is infinite variety (n. 684, 690, 3744, 5598, 7236). 천국의 수많은 다양성은 선의 수많은 다양성이다. Varieties in heaven are varieties of good (n. 3744, 4005, 7236, 7833, 7836, 9002). 수많은 천국의 모든 공동체와 어느 한 공동체의 모든 천사는 그래서 서로 구별된다. All societies in the heavens, and all angels in a society, are thereby distinguished from each other (n. 690, 3241, 3519, 3804, 3986, 4067, 4149, 4263, 7236, 7833, 7836). 그럼에도 불구하고, 그들은 모두 주님에게서 오는 사랑으로 하나가 된다. Nevertheless they are all made one by love from the Lord (n. 457, 3986).

 

그러므로 천국에는 일반적, 종류별, 그리고 세부적 구분이 있다. 일반적으로는 두 나라로 구분된다. 종류별로는 세 천국으로 되어 있다. 그리고 세부적으로는 무수한 사회공동체(innumerable societies)로 나누어진다. 이제 그것을 자세히 설명하겠다. 두 나라라고 부르는 이유는, 천국을 ‘하나님의 나라’(the kingdom of God)라고 하기 때문이다. there are in heaven general, specific, and particular divisions. The general division is into two kingdoms, the specific into three heavens, and the particular into innumerable societies. Each of these will be treated of in what follows. The general division is said to be into kingdoms, because heaven is called “the kingdom of God.”
