천국의 시간

천사들은 시간이 무엇인지 모른다. 그러나 모든 것에 지속적인 진행이 있는 것은 지상에서와 전혀 다를 바가 없다. 그 이유는, 천국에는 해와 날 대신 상태의 변화가 있기 때문이며, 해와 날이 있는 곳에는 시간이 있지만, 상태의 변화가 있는 곳에는 상태들이 있기 때문이다. Angels do not know what time is, although with them there is a successive progression of all things, as there is in the world, and this so completely that there is no difference whatever; and the reason is that in heaven instead of years and days there are changes of state; and where there are years and days there are times, but where there are changes of state there are states.
